The end of the year usually means fewer jobs to bid, yet opportunities are still out there!
Achievement is largely the product of steadily raising one's levels of aspiration and expectation.
"In preparing for battle I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indefensible"

Dwight D. Eisenhower
Typically by the mid to end of the forth quarter of the year, we see construction slow down. This year, many of us expected to see the slow down start to happen by the end of the third quarter. Yet, the amount of projects out there to bid shows us that there is still hope for the future. In this tough economy that is an encouraging sign.

The end of the year break that the holidays bring will be welcome to those that have been working hard to keep the cash flow going and doors open. It has been a very tough last couple of years, and those that are still surviving through it all are more than ready for the upward trend to begin.

Taking a breath and creating a fresh plan of attack for the new year is on the agenda for many companies. Now that they have proved to have mastered the survival operating plan (some simply by still being in operation), it is time to create the growth and prosperity plan. How that is to be done is limited only by our imagination, luck and hard work.
