Some work is better than no work

New to some this year is the partial execution of projects. While it feels good that you have work, there is that apprehension in the background that keeps you from being truly happy about it. Breaking up a large job into smaller segments costs more simply because of the loss of continuity. In steel fabrication you could loose the attention of the steel detailer, your suppliers and the workers in the shop. The contractor executing this work expects that the final number for the overall job will not be any more than the bid price was. Steel fabricators that are working to perform to this end are hoping so as well. As our fabricator friends push into the new year managing partial execution purchase orders report in, we will advise as to their progress.

The uncertainty about the future drags on for another new year. Frustrating as it is, you cannot let it get you down.
We have to keep pushing forward because the alternative to that is unacceptable.
